Each year I ask my online students for a photo of their favourite stained glass project of the year. The one picture of the work they’re most proud of.

This has to be one the BEST Student Galleries yet.
I know… I say that every year but I’m always SO proud of the work they produce. Not only technically but artistically too. It’s top class.

Because I have owned 4 Scotties in my life, I especially love the one of the Scottie! But truthfully, I would be proud to be the owner of any of these beautiful creations by your students! Thank you for sharing these beautiful pieces. I especially love the mixed medium ones. I have only recently learned how to work with stained glass (which was a long time bucket list item for me) at 68 years old. Each piece I work on has me thinking about others I am yet to start, increasing my challenges along the way. I am often asked how I pick out designs to do…..it’s just what catches my attention at the time. The ideas are endless, as your students are showing here. Some amazing pieces, for sure. Thank you, Milly, for all of your great ideas and those of people who follow you who share theirs. I’m on a great journey with all of you.

I find the feature piece to be exceptional and I ‘assume’ it is reflective of the US Native Americans. I feel emotion through the piece which is what I understand art to be. Makes me want to strive to be more emotive in some of my work.
That’s interesting Wanda. If you can work out what it is about that piece that brings up emotion for you, you can try and utilise that in your next piece. For example, was it the colours? The arrangement of each piece in relation to others? The framing? Good luck 🙂

Love the 3D effect in the blue wave that the artist was able to achieve in 2D; very inspiring for my own efforts.
Yes it’s brilliant, isn’t it? Have a careful look at how it was achieved and see if you can emulate it in your next piece. Perhaps try on paper to start with to get the hang of the principles. Good luck.

I love seeing the works of your students. I’ve been learning this craft for about six years and still have t reached the level of work of some of those pieces. You must be an amazing teacher. I sure wish you lived closer so I could take some of your classes in person.
